Extended Income Tax Due Dates Coming Soon!

21 Aug

Taxpayers who filed for extensions should get their income tax returns prepared, reviewed, and filed soon. Any unpaid 2019 taxes should have been filed by the original filing due dates. If you still owe, you should pay your balances due immediately to avoid any additional late fees or interest being added to your base amount of tax due.

The extended tax return filing dates depend on the type of taxpayer that you are:

Partnership and S-Corporation extended returns are due September 15, 2020;

C-Corporation, Trust, Estate, and Personal extended returns are due October 15, 2020;

Not-for-Profit Entities are due November 15, 2020.

The income tax laws changed significantly starting with the 2018 tax returns. Make sure that you obtain the help of a tax professional if you need assistance. Only licensed tax attorneys, certified public accountants, and enrolled agents are licensed tax professionals. Other professionals are unlicensed and may or may not be qualified in tax compliance matters.

Get those tax returns filed by on or before your extended due dates! Those without extensions who have still not filed should file as immediately as possible to avoid fees for late filing or failure to file.
